Terms of Service

  • Before you commission the artist, please read the whole terms of service below

  • This page's contents (art samples, prices, terms, etc.) are to be changed over time. It is advised check this page once in a while to stay updated. In addition, you should read the following terms before commissioning the artist.

  • Works in Progress and Waitlist: The artist only works on one commission at a time. If you commission him while an order is being worked on, your request will be put into the waitlist (on Trello) if it is accepted. The artist has the rights to decline commissions without any explanations.

  • If your request is still in the waitlist or before the upfront is paid, you can retrieve it at any time without any payment.

  • Commissioning the artist: You can commission the artist either through direct messages (dms) on platforms listed above or email, and there will be a 48-hour window for the artist to reply. If you received no responses after the period, you may contact the artist once again, but please refrain from spamming.

  • Although it is not a requirement, it is appreciated that you provide a clear description of the commission and references for the artist, along with clear purposes of using the art (please refer to the Usage Rights section below).

  • Sending more than one request: If the you were to order multiple pieces (ex: 3 portraits instead of a single piece containing 3 characters' faces), each piece will be considered a separate commission, and will have its distinct price tag.

  • The commissions will have a 1-week gap between one another to leave space for upcoming clients. Nevertheless, the next order can be taken sooner depending on the artist's decision.

  • Changes: As for Rendered and Character Sheet commissions, about 3 revisions are available during the sketch/building up idea phase. As for sketch commission in particular, said number of changes are available throughout the entire project. Minor changes would not be counted.

  • Payment method: PayPal (in USD), Kofi, Discord Nitro (not as likely to be accepted)

  • The artist does not accept rush commissions with an additional fee.

  • Pricing: Prices are negotiable. The final price will be concluded once both parties agree. Extra characters that are drawn in low detail (ex: when they are far away) could be charged for a lower price.

  • Upfront payment: A 50% upfront is required for the project to be carried out.

  • Refund Policies: You may only receive a full refund if the artist decides to drop the commission and could take the work in progress sent during the commission, but ownership will depend on the 'Usage Rights' conditions.

  • A partial refund/discount is available if the artist fails to meet the deadline (at least 7 days of delay for all services). But if the client does not reply after the piece is finished or when the artist asks for revisions, the days of absence will not account for working days, and by that number of days will the deadline be extended.

  • Usage Rights: The usage rights come with different tiers, starting with the top:

  • Tier I (lowest): Personal use

  • Tier II: Commercial use

  • Tier III (highest): Merchandise use + Commercial use

  • Illustrations that are for personal use (profile picture, banner, or any non-profit uses) will contain watermark(s)/artist's signature that must not be cropped, covered, blurred, or removed using any method for any means. You must give credit to the artist if you were to use/repost his pieces (ex.: "pfp by @xi7177" if it's a Discord profile picture, or "banner by @x-i-art.bsky.social" if it's a Bluesky profile banner). But if the personal arts are used on platforms that the artist is outside of, you need to paste his signature "X_I" along with one of his contact sites onto the credit.

  • Such works are not to be redistributed, traded, resold, sold as NFT, used for training Artificial Intelligence (AI) programs, or any commercial purpose. The artist holds full credit of the art works and retains the rights to use, post and redistribute them.

  • If the you were to use them for commercial purposes (promotion, Patreon, monetized Youtube vid. thumbnails, or any media that generates money), a 50% of total price fee will be applied.

  • However, merchandise uses (print on t-shirt, mugs, stickers, key chains, etc.) will require a 100% of total price fee instead.

  • Deduction of both fees for returning clients could range from 10% to 30%, but the base price remains unchanged.

  • If you plan on upgrading the usage rights for a particular art piece (ex.: personal to commercial use), you must contact the artist and pay the additional fees (scales on book value). However, downgrading the use (ex: merchandise to commercial use) is unavailable and will not result in potential refunds.

  • By commissioning the artist, you have acknowledged the Terms of Service listed above.
